The Boys & Girls Club of Syracuse seeks to provide the children with a safe place to grow, learn, and simply be children.

When Jeffrey Eyseman, 26, took over as the director of the Club in June 2016, he set out on bridging the gap that exists between school and home for most children. At the Central Village Club on the Southside of Syracuse, children eat and play and do their homework, they make friends and create relationships with staff and volunteers, they get their hair cut, find their name under the christmas tree to unwrap donated gifts, they seek advice when they have trouble at school or at home. At Central Village, the staff works hard and the kids are kids.
